PMING WITHOUT PERMISSION

PRIVATE MESSAGING WITHOUT PERMISSION

Subsection A

For all intents and purposes of this channel, "pming without permission" is defined as :

  1. the private messaging of someone you do not know and hence do not have implicit permission to do so.

  2. the private messaging of someone you do know who has made known previously that they do not wishto hear from you in private message again and hence have been explicitly denied the permission to do so.

Subsection B
Before you submit a formal complaint against someone who you have perceived to have "pm'ed you without permission" be sure that you fulfill the following criteria:

  1. they are a person you are unfamiliar with who has not private messaged you before.

  2. they are a person who has private messaged you before but you have told them clearly you wish to receive no further private messages.

  3. there is an absence of a "personal relationship", i.e. they have not been your acquaintance, friend, lover, sub or Domme etc. In such cases please use /ignore if you wish to no longer hear from the person you are having a disagreement with.

  4. That the private messaging is not part of a private fight that has nothing to do with the channel. It is clearly established that all ops of #dommefemsub do not interfere with private fights, kindly refrain from attempting to get them involved. In such cases please use /ignore if you wish to no longer hear from the person you are having a disagreement with.

I AM A WOMAN INSIDE WHY AM I NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CHANNEL?

The reason we only allow FEMALES as per our channel's definition is as follows:

  • A person's state of mind in this set of circumstances is an intangible yardstick that is impossible to evaluate in this medium.

Although we are aware that when a person represent herself as FEMALE, there are no guarantees that they are telling the truth, the policy continues to remain as such for the following reasons:

  • A line needs to be drawn somewhere however arbitrary it may seem to some.
  • Channel history has shown us that the truth always prevails.

WHEN NO MEANS NO!

There are instances when a play in channel can get out of hand. If you find yourself on the receiving end of an unwelcome advance/play/scene please politely refuse it clearly in channel or send them a notice or pm. If the person does not stop, please put them on ignore by typing /ignore or contact an OP for assistance.

If you are in a play/scene with someone and they are uncomfortable and say no, please respect their boundaries and discontinue the scene. If you continue to force yourself or the situation onto them, please understand that residing OPs will have no choice but to implement disciplinary action by way of a kick and/or ban.

Remember consent is an ongoing thing and a "NO" supercedes any consent that may have been given prior to the "NO".

For this reason, we do not recommend you play/scene with persons that are AFK (away from keyboard) unless you know them very well and know that they do not mind you doing so.

This is a simple matter of mutual respect within the BDSM community, a core value real life or online.

HARASSMENTS

The following policies are subject to change where necessary.

  • If you are being harassed in PM, please note that our OPS will not intervene in private matters. Please do not request that they do. Please use the following command to alleviate your problem /ignore nicktobeignored.
  • All harassments in channel will lead to being served a warning and possibly a subsequent ban if the warning is not heeded. Fighting is prohibited in channel.
  • If you have information about someone you have been chatting to pertaining to dishonesty about being female. Please notify an OP and please have ready a necessary log and whois information. No action will be taken without logs. A mere accusation is insufficient.
  • If you have information about someone who should not be on the server eg. underaged etc etc. Please notify a channel OP as well as an ircOP in #help. Once again you will be required to submit logs and whois information.

WHAT IS AN ID?

Definition
For all intents and purposes of this channel, the definition of ID is stating your AGE / SEX / Domme, sub or switch.

Why do we ask what we ask?
  • AGE = Bondage is an 18 yrs+ server. We are keeping our channel's policy in line with server rules.

  • SEX = #Dommefemsub is a women only channel.

  • DOMME/SUB/SWITCH = to facilitate social interaction within the channel, similar idea to pinning a name tag on your guests at a party.

Policy Application

*
Please note that failure to indicate an 18 yrs + status or SEX will get you removed from channel without exception.

**Although we would like for you to state DOMME/SUB/SWITCH, it is at this present time an optional exercise . However we encourage this as a useful social practice as an indication to the channel public as to your BDSM preferences.

IDING PER ENTRY

"Why do I have to ID each time i enter the channel?"

The answer is simple.

  • It is a rule that applies to everyone no matter how long they have been frequenting the channel.
  • Not everyone in the channel each time you enter was there when you first entered and ID'd for the first time.
  • Not all ops were there when you ID'd for the first time.

"Why not use a profile bot?"

  • Although that is possible, we want to rely as little as possible on bots for such functions simply because when the bot goes offline (and they do) everything reduces to chaos.
If you find IDing a chore..... use an alias or a scripts that will do your IDing for you.

MALE NICKS / NICKS PERCEIVED TO BE MALE

As a general policy we do not allow male nicks in channel. The channel needs to be able to differentiate between men and women. However each nick will be evaluated on an individual basis and with sensitivity by our ops.

If told to change your nick, we hope that you will kindly cooperate. If you refuse to for whatever personal reasons, our ops will regrettably have no choice but to ask you to leave.

There are ways of rewording your nick so that it reflects that you are not male. You could add B/boi, Syr, B/butch, D/dyke to your nick in some way, shape or form. The list is not exhaustive so be creative and have fun.

PRIVATE MATTERS

Please be aware that this channel [Owner/sOps/Ops/hOps] does not intervene in private matters. Under no circumstances harass them to do so. If you have an issue with someone please settle it in private without any expectations of our involvement. If you bring your private issue into channel and it causes disruptions, please prepared to be removed from channel for a time out. If you repetitively refuse to respect our channel policy as such, you may eventually be permanently banned from the channel.

Where private matters concern channel Ops, please realise that private and channel matters are kept distinct. Simply settle with them on an individual basis as these are NOT channel matters.
